Uni dominance
University of WA win 4 premierships; A Grade, D1 Reserves, Phil Scott Colts, Brett Jones Colts taking their club tally to 84 premierships.
New and renamed clubs
Forrestfield Rhinos and the Yanchep Red Hawks joined the WAAFL from the Hills Football Association and the Metro Football League respectively. Yanchep competed in E1 grade and Forrestfield competed in the E3 competition. Wesley Curtin renamed to Curtin University Wesley. Southern River renamed to Piara Waters.
Representative Football
West Coast Eagles U23 State Amateur Team runners-up at the Australian Amateur Football Carnival in Hobart.
Integrated Football
The Integrated Football program for players with an intellectual disability continues to grow with players competing for the first time in the National Inclusion Carnival. The week-long trip to Melbourne gave sixteen players the chance to represent Western Australia.
Online
Facebook followers grew to 7,278 a 25% increase on last year, while Twitter followers increased by 22%. After being introduced in 2014 the WAAFL Instagram account now has 430 followers.
Skill Hire Finals Series
Skill Hire supported the WAAFL 2015 Finals Series.
Facilities
North Beach move into new facilities with an additional oval at Charles Riley Reserve.
Southern River relocated to new oval and facilities to and rename as Piara Waters.
Wembley move from Henderson Oval to commence playing at two new ovals at Wembley Sports Park.
West Coast gain new oval lighting.
