Alan was President of 4 football clubs – Maylands, Redcliffe, Ascot and Bayswater.  His involvement spans 44 years from 1967, where he played his first game with Maylands until 2011 where he completed his final term as President of Bayswater.

Alan held various committee roles as President, Secretary, Bar Manager and Colts Team Manager across those clubs before joining the WA Amateur Football League’s Management Committee, and being a Tribunal Member.
