Peter Grosser has been involved with the North Fremantle Amateur Football Club for over 48 years as a player, coach and administrator.
Peter played 200 games for the club and was a state amateur team representative in 1973, 1974 and 1975. He won the North Fremantle B Grade Fairest & Best in 1974 and the League’s B Grade Fairest & Best in 1976. In 1975 and 1976 he also coached the Club’s top side.
Peter has held various committee roles at the North Fremantle Football Club since 1972 including President from 1989 to 1993. He has continued on the committee since then in roles such as General Manager for six years and bar manager four years concurrently. He is the organiser of the annual ANZAC Day remembrance ceremony at the North Fremantle Fallen Soldiers Memorial to honour the 13 North Fremantle footballers killed in World War 1.
He served on the then Western Australian Amateur Football League board from 2002-2012. Peter was involved with the State Amateur Teams as State Coordinator from 2004-2012, the WA representative on the All Australian U23’s selection panel in 2013 and was the assistant team manager for the AFL National Inclusion Carnival in 2015.
Peter was the driving force behind the formation of the Integrated Competition for players with intellectual disabilities. The Integrated premiership trophy is named the Peter Grosser Cup in his honour.
Peter was awarded with Life Membership of the North Fremantle Amateur Football Club in 1985 and again in 2006 with a Life Membership Bar. Peter was made a League Life Member in 2016.
