North Beach Football Club

Alan’s involvement with the North Beach Football Club started in 1994 when he was appointed as A Colts Team Manager, as well as Ground Manager at Charles Riley Reserve.

In 1995, Alan became a mentor to the Team Managers of the club. He also joined the North Beach committee where he has held roles as Secretary, Registrar, Treasurer and WAAFL Club Delegate. Alan was club Treasurer for 13 years and Registrar for 17 years. Alan was the WAAFL Club Delegate for 13 years until 2008, before moving into the proxy delegate role which he held for four years until 2012. Alan is the clubs’ Bar Manager, a position he has held for 14 years.

In 2004, North Beach recognised Alan with Life Membership and in 2007 he was awarded the Gold Appreciation of Service Award from the City of Stirling for his exceptional contribution to the community. The following year in 2008, when he stood down as club Treasurer, Alan volunteered as Team Manager for the club’s Brett Jones Colts team until 2010. He subsequently was Team Manager for the club’s fifth senior team for the next 2 years.

His involvement in community football around Perth is highly extensive, and deservingly so, Alan has been awarded with WAAFL Life Membership.
