Tony Fanowrios or 'JJ' as he is universally known, entered his 40th year at the Mount Lawley Football club this year, having first officially been involved as the Colts Team Manager in 1978.

A few short years later (1981) he joined the committee and has been a constant and active member and contributor since, including 8 consecutive terms as Vice President and 2 terms as Club Secretary.

JJ is the bloke who works behind the scenes. For the last 18 odd years he has been responsible for general maintenance and upkeep at the club, the line marking, cleaning the changerooms, emptying the bins. And for those who played or umpired at Mt Lawley, you would know him for welcoming the umpires and visiting teams.
