An Assistant Umpire’s Advisor was appointed for the first time, and along with the Umpire’s Advisor helped uplift the standard of the 60 regular central umpires.

Independent Tribunal was enlarged to help take the workload off the necessary part of amateur football.

Two central umpires were provided for all grades in the preliminary and grand finals.
