The Annual General Meeting saw Mr. R. Hill re-appointed as Patron, Mr. C.J. Veryard as President, Mr. V.E. Bennett as the Senior Vice-President. The other Vice-Presidents elected were Messrs S. Miller, H. Lewis, J. Kenneally, C. Jamieson, T. Naylor.

Mr. H.B. Grosvenor was re-appointed as Hon. Secretary / Treasurer, Mr. J. Walsh as Assistant Hon. Secretary and Mr. H.G. Lippiatt as Hon. Auditor.

The Sub-Committees were appointed as follow:
- Umpire’s Board: Mr. V.E. Bennett as the third member with the President and Secretary.
- Re-Instatement Committee: Messrs C.J. Veryard (Chairman) J.J. Lalor, R. Halcombe, T. Treacy, K. McMillan.
- Protests & Disputes Board: Messrs J. Dolan, R.B. Henkel, R. Dalziell, S.C. Bruce, T. Crapp.

It was agreed the competition be conducted in two Divisions, “A” and “A” Reserves. Midland Junction and South Perth to be relegated to the ‘A’ Reserves and be replaced by Victoria Park and Fremantle CBC Old Boys in the ‘A’ Division. Match fees to be £62.0.0 per club.

Mr. T. Naylor and Mr. R. Howells were appointed as the Fixtures Committee and organised for the season to commence April 19th.

Approval for Palmyra to change its name to Melville was approved.

Byes were arranged on May 31st so that Claremont, Shenton Park, South Fremantle and Victoria Park, who were formally granted permission, to play against country clubs.

North Fremantle advised the trip to Victoria had been abandoned for this year and requested to travel to the country instead.

Advice from the WANFL reported that an agreement had been reached with the Sunday League, whereby it would be treated similarly to any other affiliated association within a 30 mile radius of Perth.  This meant clearances to and from the Sunday League would now be required.

Mr. H. Buchanan, the umpire’s coach, reported umpires were upset with the attitudes and behaviour of club officials and of the larrikan behaviour and obscene language used by some club supporters. They were advised to take action in accordance with the rules, reporting players and officials.

It was reported the standard of football was falling and data showed hundreds of trained junior footballers being lost to the game each year as there was no competition for 18 and 21 year olds. It was agreed that if the MJFA did not reduce their age limit to under 20 years next year, the Association would inaugurate a competition for under 20.

It was agreed to continue with the publication of the Amateur Football would continue.

The Executive Committee of Messrs G.Con & L. Tetley for the ‘A’ Division and Messrs R. Forster and Jim Davies for the ‘A’ Reserves had been appointed.

It was agreed the “Home Team” be responsible for the telephoning of scores through each week.

A Selection Committee comprising Messrs S. Miller, R. Gaint, D. Ryan and R. Foster had organised six WA players to join an Australian Amateur Team to participate in the ‘B’ section of the ANFC Carnival, which were undefeated in the section. This Association presented these six players with their Australian team blazers.

The WAAFA had nominated Mr. H.B. Grosvenor to be considered to receive endorsement to be named for an award of the “Merit Award”, which he successfully achieved.

The umpires fees for second-round games were set as £3.3.0 for Central, £1.10.0 for Boundary and £1.0.0 for Goal.

Association trophies were to be presented at a social meeting of the delegates to he held on November 21st.

Mr. R. Thomas (Mosman Park) was the winner of the ‘A’ Division Fairest & Best and Mr Simms (Midland Junction) the ‘A’ Reserves.

The Social Committee was authorised to conduct a Ball at the Embassy Ballroom next year while the Carnival was held in Perth.

Mr. H.B. Grosvenor and Mr. H.R. Lewis both granted Life Membership of the Association, rewarding them for their outstanding contributions.

Honorariums were granted:-  Hon. Secretary / Treasurer £100, Assistant Hon. Secretary £15, Assistant Hon. Treasurer £15, the Umpires Coach £50, the Hon. Auditor £7.7.0.
