Mr J.L Robson was re-appointed as President and Mr. H.B (Gra) Grosvenor, who had been the Fremantle CBC Club’s delegates since 1933, appointed as Secretary/Treasurer.

Mr R.P Rodriquez accepted the position offered on the Umpires Board. Mr A. Sandover accepted the position of Vice-President.

Three new clubs – Boans Ltd, Water Supply Department and Claremont were accepted while Postal Institute & Older Modernians withdrew. The total number of teams is now 8.

The new league regulation regarding the bouncing of the ball at the centre was agreed to and adopted and the instructions given to the umpires.

The WAAFA combined side defeated the Perth Suburban League Association team. The President & Secretary selected the Best & Fairest player to be Mr K. Boxhorne.

It was decided that the selection of any future combined Amateur team be left to a selection committee of three persons only.

All clearances continued to be granted or refused by the delegates at the monthly meetings.

The Protest & Disputes Board met on three occasions during the year.

The President of the Australian Amateur Football Association, a major condor was invited to and addressed a meeting – the coming Interstate Amateur Carnival being held in 1938. Mr W.R Orr was also present and agreed that the WANFL would make a donation of $50 ($100) towards the expenses of a WA team, to assist the WAAFA to be represented.

The finals were played at Bassendean & Perth Ovals and the Grand Fina; at Claremont Oval.

The Association requested that Police attend future final matches to control spectators. This year supporters & barrackers encroached upon the playing area and consequently interrupted with play to be held up at times.

A Smoke Social was held in the Stirling Social Hall, a charge of $2/- (20c) per head made & confirmed to club officials, registered members, donors and officials off the association.
