At the Annual General Meeting, Mr J.L Robson was re-appointed as President and Mr R.C Mattiske, Hon. Secretary/Treasurer. Mr W.R Orr continued on as Patron.
Messers A. Sandover, J. Orr, R.B Henkel, Col. S.R Roberts, T Dean, J.A Holdcroft, F. Coleman, J.J Monaghan were elected as Vice-Presidents. Mr A. Casper was the re-appoined as the Hon. Auditor.
The following committees were elected as followed;
Prostests & Disputes Board – Messers A.A Moffatt, R.B Henkel & F. Dolan.
Umpires Board – Messers W.R Orr, W. Young & R.P Rodriquez.
Grounds & Fixtures Board – Messers A.G Higgins, V. Bennett & A.D Jones.
It was decided to habe St. Johns Ambulance men attend all matches with the cost of approximately 2/6 (25c) per match to be shared by the two competing clubs. Later a donation was given to them of $5.5.0 ($11) for their services during the season.
The Interstate Carnival Committee that had been appointed, had held a raffle of a Refrigerator which netted a profit of $16-5-2 ($33.52)
The seven club captains were appointed to the constitute the committee to select the team to represent the WAAFA at the Carnival to be held in August. Mr F.W.C Brach was appointed as the coach and was to be the final sole selector. He was granted an honorarium of $50.0.0 ($10) to help with the costs.
The carnival captain & vice-captain were to be appointed by the 20 players making the trip.
The WAAFA purchased two lotteries tickets, with any proceeds under $20.0.0 ($40) to go to the association and any proceeds over the $20 to be divided equally between the seven clubs.
The WANFL donated the set of guernseys for the touring party, the WAAFA providing the ties.
Each club was levied 5/- (50c) to cover the expenses of a send-off function for the team in the league rooms.
The manager of the team provided a report on return from the carnival. Western Australia had been represented by a good representative team at this first Australian Amateur Football Carnival held in Adelaide. It was considered that in the not too distant future be on par with the amateur leagues of Victoria & South Australia and that an endeavour be made to include a team from either state to visit Perth in 1937.
The team captain appointed was Mr S.M Miller of the Sandovers Club, therefore having the honour of being the captain of the first Amateur Carnival from this state. It was later presented at the presentation night at the Stirling Institute with the Henkel Trophy, a handsome cup donated by Mr R.B Henkel, as the Fairest & Best player in the association during the season.
This function, at the end of the season, was approved by the Swan Brewery and the Richmond Brewing Companies & despite the fairly poor attendance was a success.
Once again the Harris, Scarfe & Sandovers team were the premiers followed by the Postal Institute as runner-ups, South Perth, University, Commonwealth Bank, Fremantle CBC Old Boys & Old Modernians.
The umpires for the season messers Gibson, Chapman, Evens & Thompson were congratulated for the manner in which the controlled the games & interpreted the calls.
The Protests & Disputes Board had no need to meet during the season.
Mr W. Richardson advised that he would donate a trophy to be won at the end of the first rounder fir three seasons & to commend in 1937.
In recognition of their services throughout the year, the Hon. Secretary/Treasurer was granted an honorarium of $10.0.0 ($21) and the Typist $1.1.0 ($2.10)
